There's some kind of glitch obviously that's preventing multiplayer from actively engaging the GPU properly on some systems. Make sure you have the options for showing statistics fully enabled so you can see your GPU Clock speed in the bar on the top of your screen as you navigate the menu and play the game. I'd be curious to know what your guys' GPU clock speeds are registering as when you're trying to play in Multiplayer compared to what you get when you're playing in singleplayer. Usually, as soon as a game loads or a movie starts, the GPU core speed auto-increases to compensate and provides the computer with the necessary gfx power needed to play/watch whatever multimedia activity it is that you're doing. However, in MW2 MP menu and ingame, what I'm noticing is that my GPU's clock speeds are never increasing, as if it's standby, or as if its acting like I'm just doing regular computer use on my desktop instead of anything GPU intensive. Something about popping in the taskbar and popping it back out momentarily would fix the lag and everything would be good with the world. I've had some issues in other games with FPS lag in menus before (like Plague Tale Requiem), but I've always been able to get around that surprisingly by just pressing Windows key twice. Primary menu+multiplayer screen run like absolute trash. I'm on a 5800X3D+6950XT, 32GB PC3000, Asus Dark Hero MoBo, using an SK Hynix P41 as my installation medium. My game runs smoothly now at avg 120 fps. So try this out and let me know if it works for you. Changing these windows settings also changed my issues in MW2. I followed his tutorial, and even though it's a different game, the window settings still apply to optimize your PC for better fps. I also play Valorant on PC and watched this tutorial on how to get better fps. This game really needs more polishing but I found something that worked for me. It sucks that a lot of you have experienced the same issues or similar issues to mine. I run other games perfectly fine, it's just the multiplayer for mw2. I know it's not a hardware problem because I run a 2070 super and a Ryzen 7 3700x. I played the campaign perfectly fine and it runs silky smooth.

I thought it was just a beta thing but I guess not.

The same thing happened to me in the beta but still happening now. I've messed with all the settings and it didn't change a thing. When I load up the game, I get extremely bad lag/stuttering.
